Penal Cordillera, by Felipe Carmona, is one of the six Latin American feature films in post-production selected for a professional audience at the 70th edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival. The Chilean film is competing for the WIP Latam Industry Award and the EGEDA Platino Industry Award.
Felipe's debut feature film, Penal Cordillera is co-produced by Cinestación (Chile) and Multiverso (Brazil). The film is based on an event that occurred in Chile in 2013 when it was revealed that the five most relevant torturers of the Pinochet dictatorship were serving their sentences in a prison that looked more like a luxury hotel.
